How to create a system restore point
in Windows XP to backup the registry and settings?


Note:
If System Restore is turned off, you'll receive a message that asks whether you want to turn on System Restore.

1. Open system restore: CLICK "start" and CLICK "run"
TYPE (omit quotes) "%SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and CLICK "ok".

2. Creating a system restore point: CLICK "create a restore point" and then CLICK "next".

3. Choose a restore point title: type a name for the restore point and then click Create

4. Restore point has been created successfully: CLICK "close".
